BFC COVID-19 Closures and Modified Services

The Brandon Friendship Centre is a community-based organization that takes pride in providing programs to our community and ensuring that those who access our facility and services are safe.


If anyone needs to access a phone for local calls, access the internet or print important documents from e-mail, the Brandon Friendship Centre now has one public computer that can be accessed from outside our main drop-in area.

These services are available at 836 Lorne Avenue Monday – Friday: 9 am – Noon and 1 pm – 4 pm

  • Kokum’s Early Enrichment Program is open.
  • Kokum’s Early Enrichment Program 2 is open.
  • Brandon Access/Exchange Service is open.
  • BAYAC will be open three evenings a week from 4-7pm. There will be a cap of 8 children allowed & you MUST contact Miranda at 204-729-8112 to sign up. 
  • Four Directions Employment Services is open by appointment only. 
  • Aboriginal Head Start Program is operating with limited group sizes and no public access at this time.
  • Portage Aboriginal Head Start is operating with limited group sizes and no public access at this time.
  • Housing is operating by appointment only. Call 204-727-1407 and speak with Wendy. 
  • Cultural Program is open by appointment only.
  • Aboriginal Healing and Wellness is open by appointment only. Call 204-726-8791.
  • Community Liaison Program is taking seniors only when necessary.
  • In A Good Way is currently having prenatal classes. Postnatal and Seedlings will start up in October.
  • Adult Education is open on a learner scheduled basis.
